Description

The Increasing Resilience to Climate Change (IRCC) contestable grant scheme is a $3.5 million program funded under the NSW Climate Change Fund, to support councils address identified climate change risks and vulnerabilities.  Local Government NSW in partnership with the NSW Office of Environment & Heritage  are seeking applications for climate change adaptation and resilience projects.

What do these grants aim to achieve? 

• Implementation of adaptation and resilience actions to address identified climate change risks.

 • Regional consideration of climate change impacts in decision making.

• Implementation of climate change adaptation and resilience actions beyond business as usual projects and programs.

 • Enhanced adaptive capacity in the NSW local government sector.
